Having qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1999, I spent my first years working part time as a clinical assistant in the Oral & Maxillofacial department at Chelmsford Hospital, whilst also working in general practice. This was an invaluable experience in gaining my surgical skills that I continue to utilise today.
I have been placing implants since 2002 and over the years I have attended several national and international courses building on my skills in advanced implant techniques, bone augmentation and soft tissue procedures.
I also provide sedation for the most anxious patients to make their treatment more comfortable.
I gained my diploma in implant dentistry in 2015, from the University of Warwick and I am also a fellow of the international congress of oral implantology (FICOI).
Member of SAAD (Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry)

Camino Muruzabal

Camino Torre Muruzabal is a dedicated general dentist with a strong passion for patient care. She earned her Dentistry degree from Universidad Alfonso X in Madrid in 2008 and began her career in her home town of Santander. In 2009, she relocated to Plymouth, where she has been practicing as a general dentist.
In 2017, Camino furthered her education by completing a Master’s in Restorative Dentistry at Plymouth University. Her enthusiasm for teaching led her to join the university as a SDLE supervisor in 2018, where she mentors aspiring dentist. In 2024, she enhanced her qualifications with a Master’s in Endodontology from University of Chester. With a special interest in root canal therapy, Camino looks forward to spending more time in this area, ensuring her patients receive the highest standard of care.
Chidinma Nwamaka Okengwu

Amaka qualified as a Dentist in 2008 from the University of Benin, Nigeria. She then started postgraduate training culminating in an Associate Fellowship from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. Amaka joined our practice in March 2025.
Amaka is a member of both the Royal College of Surgeons England (Faculty of Dental Surgery) and the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. She also has a Diploma in primary Care Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland.
Amaka is able to cater to all your general dentistry needs and is passionate about providing her patients with the dental knowledge that enables an informed involvement in their oral healthcare. Her hobbies include traveling and enjoying different culinary experiences. Amaka has a special interest in teeth whitening and is looking forward to giving you a brighter, whiter smile.
Lucy Steward
Dental Hygiene Therapist | GDC no.252621
Lucy grew up along the Cornish coast in Seaton. She completed her dental nursing diploma in 2014 before gaining a place to study combined hygiene and therapy 3 years later at Cardiff University graduating in 2020.
Lucy is a dental therapist but prefers to focus on the dental hygiene aspect of the job. She prides herself on educating her patients and preventing gum disease as – prevention is better than cure – as well as aiding in the management and stabilisation of advanced periodontal diseases. Lucy has a very calming demeanour and is great with nervous patients and children.
Aside from teeth and gums, Lucy’s hobbies include rollerskating, yoga, travelling and cats!
Gayathiri Devadas

Hi I am Gayathiri also known as Jenny , I am a fully qualified dentist from India, I have worked as a dentist in India for 4 years and have been with this practice as a Hygiene Therapist for almost a year now. My special interest is in composite smile makeover helping to transform beautiful smiles. I get incredible satisfaction building a connection with my patients and my team. Although I work in dentistry I have a huge love to sweet treats and I love spending my free time cooking for my friends and family and baking sweet treats and enjoying it with them.
Jessica Blee

Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma certificate in Dental Nursing, BDA certification in Dental radiography
Jessica joined the practice in May 2024 and brings a vast amount of knowledge with her in which she passes onto the other nurses. Jess ensures the smooth running of all three busy surgeries, and as Head Nurse she has high clinical standards & superb organization . She has achieved qualifications in Level 3 Diploma / Distinction in Dental Nursing, Radiography including CBCT and is almost qualified in IV Sedation. Jessica enjoys oral surgery (surgical extractions/implants), but also enjoys assisting with restorative treatments & getting involved with our TRIOS digital scanner.
Jess lives in Plymouth and outside of work she enjoys spending time with family / friends & going to the gym and doing Yoga!
Jess also loves adventures to the beach, particularly in Cornwall, and has a real passion for travel. Backpacking solo in Norway whale watching was a favourite experience!
Jess is continually learning & striving to update her skills & has a clear passion for dentistry.
Mia Ryder

My name is Mia Ryder, I started dental nursing in January 2022 as an apprentice dental nurse and I joined Plymouth City Centre Dental Practice as a dental nurse in July 2023 and Qualified in April 2024. I enjoy what I do and love to care for my patients. I spend a lot of time with family, my boyfriend, and friends.
Sophie Burrows
Practice Manager
Sophie started her career in dentistry in 2009 as a Dental Receptionist she later progressed to Head Receptionist in June 2019. Sophie enjoyed recruiting and training new staff members during this time and also taking the role of converting new patient leads.
Sophie trains her staff to deliver excellent patient care to ensure that each patient experience offers an exceptional patient journey. In 2020 she won the Chrysalis finance Patient Care Award. Following maternity leave with her second child Darcie, Sophie returned to become Practice Manager of two Dental Practices. Sophie takes pride in her work and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure patient needs are met and all patients leave our practice with a smile. Sophie loves her job as it means working alongside various clinicians and the opportunity to interact with wonderful people on a daily basis.
Away from the practice, Sophie enjoys spending time with her family as well as competing her two horses.
Danni Brown
Receptionist
Danni joined the practice in April 2023.
She has over 10 years’ experience in customers service and 4 years in administration which she has applied to her role as Receptionist. She is eager to learn and works hard to be part of the team. She enjoys making the patient journey an exceptional experience from start to finish.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, amateur photographer, gardening, and baking.
Nicky Savage

Nicky joined the practice January 2024.
The last 15yrs I have worked front of house within the dental industry and also in hospitality. I have had experience as Head receptionist also reception manager. I love being the first point of contact and making people feel welcome and at ease.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family and going walking. Also love having cuddles with my beautiful cat.
