What is oral surgery?

Oral surgery involves carefully planned procedures that treat problems affecting the teeth, jaw, and surrounding tissues. This includes wisdom tooth removal surgery for impacted wisdom teeth, complex tooth extractions, sinus lifts, and bone grafts to support healing or prepare the mouth for future treatments such as dental implants.

When a tooth cannot be removed safely using routine techniques, oral surgery allows us to work gently and precisely, protecting nearby teeth, nerves, and bone. Every procedure is carried out with your comfort in mind, with clear explanations, unhurried care, and careful aftercare to support smooth healing and reassurance at every stage.

How much does oral surgery cost?

The cost of private oral surgery depends on the complexity of the procedure, the position of the tooth, and whether surgical access is required. We provide a clear treatment plan with full cost breakdown before treatment begins, so there are no surprises.

Flexible payment options are available, including finance plans to help spread the cost. Full details can be found on our pricing page.

Do I need oral surgery?

Oral surgery may be recommended when a tooth cannot be removed safely using standard techniques. This often includes impacted wisdom teeth, teeth trapped beneath the gum, or teeth close to nerves or sinuses. Oral surgery can also involve bone grafts, which support healing and help maintain the strength of the jaw.

A bone graft may be needed if bone has been lost due to infection, gum disease, or after a difficult extraction, or to prepare the mouth for future treatments such as dental implants. If you’re experiencing pain, swelling, or repeated infections, oral surgery can relieve discomfort and prevent further problems. We’ll explain everything clearly and support you throughout your treatment.
